ON 29 APRIL 2005, RACHAEL KOHN BA (Hons) Concordia, MA PHD McMaster was awarded the degree of Doctor of Letters honoris causa by Chancellor Dr John YU, AC, University of New South Wales.

In a Sydney Morning Herald survey of Australia's top hundred intellectuals, Rachael Kohn was voted in the top 50. (SMH, March 12-13, 2005) In the year 2000, Kohn was chosen by the national newspaper, The Australian, as one of the country's leading 100 Australians.
